Dobby the Dobsonfly
This fully intact 3.5 inch long dobsonfly is in a 6x2x5/8 inch rectangular prism. This is a very rare find, as all my insects are ethically and sustainably sourced and found already dead. Dobsonflies are aquartic insects that spend most of their lives in water; they then come to land to pupate and only live for 3-10 days as adults. This is why finding a fully intact already-dead adult dobsonfly is so rare, so get it while you can! This is the first dobsonfly I’ve ever worked with and I’m not sure if I’ll get a chance to work with another one.
You can tell she’s a female because of the size of her pincers. Her name is Dobby; who wants to adopt her?!
